Nina Lukina, daughter of Vladimir Lukin, a VP in Jefferies' Technology group in New Jersey, is one of the Jefferies Family Scholarship's new award recipients. Nina is a rising sophomore at Columbia College of Columbia University, majoring in Economics-Mathematics. Nina went to high school at Midwood in Brooklyn, New York. She was president of the Key Club, a position which allowed her to do a great deal of community service. Nina's hobbies include playing tennis, writing, studying languages, and reading great literature in their original languages, including Russian and Spanish. Last month, Nina went on a month-long study abroad trip to China with Brooklyn College where she studied the amazing Chinese language and culture first-hand.
