Program Overview The Jefferies Family Scholarship has been providing educational financial assistance to children of the employees of Jefferies Group, Inc. for more than 25 years. Through substantial scholarships, as well as Jefferies Awards of Merit, the program recognizes outstanding achievement—in and out of the classroom—and supports the efforts of serious and committed students. Each year, Jefferies Family Scholarship gives awards to a group of carefully selected individuals that best meet the criteria of the program and embody the spirit and principles of its founders. Awards are based on a number of factors including financial need, academic merit, extracurricular activities and other considerations. The program grants both monetary-based and recognition-based awards. Scholarships are awarded for one year only. Monetary-based awards of $10,000 were granted to 2008-2009 scholarship recipients. |
