George Gardner
About
I am currently an undergraduate of the University of Leeds, England working towards a degree in economics. I chose economics as it has an invaluable future, which has been illustrated by recent economic turbulence seen particularly in Europe. All of which has helped with my enthusiasm for the future of economics.
My friends would describe me as a charismatic character. Whilst at high school, I became the vice-chair of our charity committee which gave me the opportunity to lead a team of individuals in raising funds for our school’s nominated charity. My thirst for sport was shown in my youth through regular participation in competitive rugby games for my local town, resulting in a trial for the Irish Exiles. This has continued whilst at university, with becoming a prominent member of the University of Leeds Men’s Lacrosse Team, a sport I had previously no experience with, yet enjoying the challenge of learning a new pastime.
