About
I would like to thank the Jefferies Family Scholarship for this extraordinary award. Never in my life did I think I would be awarded something so great. I feel so lucky and honored that JFS was willing to assist me in continuing my education and helping me to get into the career I chose.
Since high school, I have been working towards my career goal of entering the field of Law Enforcement and I’m happy to say that I have had much success. Two years after having enrolled in the Criminal Justice Program at The College of Dupage, I completed the program and received my associate of arts degree in Criminal Justice. I then entered Lewis University to complete my Bachelor’s Degree.
The scholarship has allowed me to continue on with my studies and to work with the Roselle Police Department. I am in my last year of school and have been employed with the Police Department for over a year and a half now. I feel that I am in a great position to enter into my chosen field of Criminal/Social Justice when I graduate in May with my Bachelor’s degree from Lewis University. I cannot express my gratitude enough towards the Jefferies Family Scholarship program, it has really changed my life and given me the opportunity for success.
