About

Originally from Mumbai, India, I moved to the U.S. to continue my education at New York University where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering. All I ever wanted to do since I was in the 6th grade was to become a mechanical engineer. I used to carry this tiny notebook with me all the time which contains all the engineering ideas I have had such as designs for a basic hydro powered shoe cleaner that could be used by my school after students play football as well as possible designs for the components of the iron man suit for when I have the resources to make it. Unfortunately, due to a very tight school curriculum and lack of financial support I never got the opportunity to completely explore my ideas. My career at NYU has provided undergraduate research opportunities, as well as exposure to great professors that are helping me become an innovative engineer.

In high school, I took part in a lot of Model United Nations. I won various awards and also chaired the Security Council at Asia’s largest model UN. I worked as a volunteer for Magic Bus and save the tigers and received a national wildlife award for my fund raising campaign with Save the Tigers.
