About
My name is Fatema Najmi and I am a medical student at Ross University. I have received the Jefferies Family Scholarship for the past three years and it has greatly assisted in providing me the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone to get the most out of my education. As one of three siblings attending a university, I have always had to worry about my parent’s finances. The scholarship has taken away many of those worries and empowered me to focus my attention on my studies. I have been able to become more involved in my classes, volunteer organizations, and health community through leadership and research. This, in turn, has not only made me one step closer to becoming a well-rounded physician, but it has also allowed me to give back to society through my time and effort.
