About
At Agnes Scott College, I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics, in hopes that majoring in Economics will provide me with the opportunity to critically think and gain an understanding and appreciation for our global economy. With a strong passion for community service, my goal is to work in economic development and play a key role in developing policies that will positively affect urban communities.
In high school, I completed the TEA Distinguished High School Plan with S.T.E.M. endorsement after successfully fulfilling the requirements of rigorous AP courses. I actively participated in extracurricular activities such as Student Council (Junior Class Secretary) and Varsity Cheer. In high school, I volunteered for community service projects such as March of Dimes, The Boys & Girls Club and the United Negro College Fund. In addition to my volunteer duties, I also served as Teen Foundation Chair of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. chapter. In 2016, I was selected as a summer intern in the Houston Leadership Experience & Employment Program. The program seeks to promote personal growth, academic excellence and professional work experience in fields such as economics, engineering, technology and accounting. My friends describe me as smart, witty, positive and determined. My favorite quote is, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou.
